Bible Teaching Approach

Our method involves teaching the Bible verse by verse, focusing on its context.

In Bible study, understanding the background is key, and that background is the environment in which the Bible was written: the context of the Biblical authors.

As Dr. Michael Heiser has stated, “The Bible was written for us but not to us.

We should begin by understanding the original meaning of the passage, extracting principles and key doctrines, and then applying them to us, God’s covenant people in this century.

Our approach for producing Biblical teaching content is to study a book of the Bible in its entirety and offer it as Biblical Teaching Series with multiple lessons for each series.

We create Bible Teaching Series from both the Old Testament and the New Testament because all of it is relevant to us as God’s Covenant People:

For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
Romans 15:4 (NASB 2020)

16 All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching,
for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness;
17 so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable,
equipped for every good work.
II Timothy 3:16-17 (NASB 2020)

We also leverage resources like Bible Commentaries produced by trusted Bible teachers and preachers that can help us understand the Scriptures better.

We need to operate with the collective knowledge of others in our covenant community both past and present as expressed by Craig Bubek:

“Receiving the teaching of others can be in person
or through written instruction in commentaries.

Being open to the Spirit’s leading of others can help Bible students
avoid some of the dangers discussed earlier.”[1]

The Biblical teaching content is provided via Podcast episodes. Each Podcast episode includes an individual lesson as part of a Bible Teaching series.
