Outline and Lesson Goal

Principles and Applications

I. Nebuchadnezzar’s Problem (Daniel 2:1-12)

  • Principle: The wisdom of above can not be understood by mere mortal men.
  • Application: What seemingly insurmountable problem is facing you today? Where are you seeking the solution?
  • Scripture Reference

But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.
I Corinthians 2:14

II. Daniel’s Intervention  (Daniel 2:13-23)

  • Principle: God’s people should seek after the wisdom of above regardless of the circumstances.
  • Application: What does your prayer life tell you about how much you trust God in the midst of difficult circumstances?
  • Scripture Reference

9 Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’;
Isaiah 46:9-10

III. Daniel’s Witness (Daniel 2:24-30)

  • Principle: God’s people should always give the God of heaven all of the glory.
  • Application: How are you testifying about God’s greatness to an unbelieving world?
  • Scripture Reference

I am the LORD, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, Nor My praise to graven images.
Isaiah 42:8
