Restoring a Brother/Sister

Principles and Applications

I. Leave No Man Behind (Galatians 6:1-5)

  • Principle: Believers need to restore the fallen in love and guard against pride that would cause them to fall.
  • Application: Who can you help restore this week? How can you guard against pride and overconfidence in your life?
  • Scripture Reference

Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall.
I Corinthians 10:12

II. Press on with the Mission (Galatians 6:6-10)

  • Principle: Believers need to be led by the Spirit in fulfilling their mission for Christ.
  • Application: In which area of your life do you need to be led by the Spirit today?
  • Scripture Reference

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.
John 6:63

Taking Care of the Ministerial Staff

III. Honor the Supreme Commander (Galatians 6:11-18)

  • Principle: Believers should seek to boast on the Lord and the Lord alone.
  • Application: What area in your life needs to be surrendered so that you boast in Christ and not on yourself?
  • Scripture Reference

23 Thus says the LORD, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches;
24 but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD.
Jeremiah 9:23-24
