The Kingdom of God
As human beings our default is to reject authority in our lives. We want to go our own way because we think we know best. That is the root cause of the Fall (Gen. 3:6-7). Led by a deceitful enemy, humanity chose to disobey God, the True King and decided that they would be better off charting their own path.
Our doctrine for this week is the Kingdom of God. In the HIBD we find the following:
“God’s kingdom may be understood in terms of “reign” or “realm.”
Reign conveys the fact that God exerts His divine authority over His subjects/kingdom.
Realm suggests location, and God’s realm is universal.
God’s reign extends over all things. He is universally sovereign over the nations, humankind, the angels, the dominion of darkness and its inhabitants, and even the cosmos, individual believers, and the church.” (HBID)
El Reino de Dios
Nuestra doctrina para esta semana es El Reino de Dios.
Como seres humanos, nuestra inclinación natural es rechazar la autoridad en nuestras vidas.
Queremos ir por nuestro propio camino porque creemos que sabemos mejor. Esa es la causa raíz de la Caída(Gén. 3:6-7).
Liderada por un enemigo engañoso, la humanidad eligió desobedecer a Dios, el Rey Verdadero, y decidió que estaría mejor trazando su propio camino.
En el HIBD encontramos lo siguiente:
“El reino de Dios puede entenderse en términos de “reinado” o “ámbito”.
El reinado transmite el hecho de que Dios ejerce su autoridad divina sobre sus súbditos/reino.
El ámbito sugiere ubicación, y el ámbito de Dios es universal. El dominio de Dios se extiende sobre todas las cosas.
Él es universalmente soberano sobre las naciones, la humanidad, los ángeles, el dominio de las tinieblas y sus habitantes, e incluso el cosmos, los creyentes individuales y la iglesia.” (HBID)
